The ultimate goal of any SEO campaign is to dominate the first search results on Google. While simply getting in the top four or so spots is great, dominating the page is even better and one of the best ways to get your company’s name out there. Unfortunately, if you want to know how to dominate the first page of Google, it will take a great deal of time and effort. The good news, however, is that once you accomplish your goal, this effort (and money) will be worth it in terms of new customers.

1. Question to Dominate the 1st Page on Google

One of the absolute best ways to take over the first page of search results on Google is to focus on one specific question or topic. If you choose to write solely about one item, you will be seen as an authority on the subject. Additionally, by taking the time to answer simple questions, you can stand out from the crowd, in this case your competitors. Websites that focus on a specific topic should take the time to answer what that topic means. If, for example, your page is about SEO tips, then you should first answer the question “What is SEO?”

2. Make an Intro Rich with Keywords to Dominate Google

Although everyone realizes that your headline is a crucial part of any SEO strategy, if you want to know how to dominate the first page of Google, you need to pay attention to your intro as well. The introduction should include not only a quality introduction, but also the keyword at an early point.

3. Take Advantage of Google+ and Dominate Google’s Search Results

The companies that manage to take over the first page of search results on Google are the ones that know how to effectively use Google+ to their advantage. Although this social network is still growing, the fact that it is part of Google means that anything you do on there will help you tremendously in terms of search rankings. Remember to use Google+ to share some of your best posts.

4. Make Website Links Appear on the 1st Page of Google

If you take a look at any Google search page, you will notice that some companies have additional interior links listed as well. This can be a tremendous boost for traffic and will provide you more links on the first page of results. The only problem is that Google won’t flat out tell webmasters how to get these links. The best tips are to make sure that your website is structured so it is easy to navigate and is easily spiderable. Also try to use unique meta descriptions and titles on your interior pages.

5. Use Various Platforms to Dominate Google’s 1st Page

A simple but effective method of how to dominate the first page of Google is to make sure that you have websites on various platforms. If you have your website as well as pages on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, Tumblr, and Quora, and these all rank well, you will be on your way to dominating the first page.

6. Don’t Forget About Paid Search on the 1st Page of Google

A final way to take over the results page of a search engine is the old-fashioned method: pay for advertisement. If you pay for Google ads and optimize your keywords correctly, you will be one of the first links people see.
